Found these pretty flowers down by the creek. They are pretty small blossoms with a whitish purple hue to them. Love how there is yellow in the center!

Came across these tiny white flowers. So adorable! They are held in protection by the stems of the plant. All growing above the flower and going in all different directions.

Part of Spring is the start of renewal and new sprouts! This Lilac bush is about the burst out it's flowers!! Just sprouting out of the leaves! Looking forward to the flowers blooming full force!

The wetlands is just starting to displaying color. Love seeing the yellow that pops from the surroundings. Brightens up the wetlands for sure!! Can't wait for more to bloom!

I spy a nest! It is fun to see homes being built for nest. This nest looks really cozy in this tree. Well protected off the ground and in this nice hole. I think the nest is great!

It is a rainy day! Lots of raindrops to look at. This clover has lots of raindrops resting on it. The fuzzy hairs on it to show up more with the water mist on it.

This ground cover in the woods is pretty. Love the red berries to bring contrast to the ground flooring. Beautiful to see the ground cover from afar too.

These bees are feisty!! Looking eye to eye. I don't know there reason for their actions! But, does not look to friendly. It is warming up in more than one way.

Spring flowers are the best!! Love seeing the crocuses blooming. The purple and yellow color is so nice to see compared to the brown landscape that has been around.

A close up of moss and spores. All along the lake there was moss covering the ground and tree. A variety of moss too. Making hiking slippery after a rain.

These pine needles are so soft.  They don't poke you when you are walking among the trees. I think that when the sun and wind catches them that they are pretty.

On a hike I came across this butterfly fluttering around. He landed for a few moments for a photo. I was happy to come across a butterfly in the Spring!

The underside of a tree roots. Such a huge root structure. Just find it interesting that such a structure failed the tree.

Came across this big happy toad on my nature walk. He stood still as I took a few photos of him. I looked away and he hopped away, sneaky.

Nature Photo of the Day #96: Cattails on a Foggy Lake

The cattails were blowing in the wind on the shores of a lake. The trees on the shore were still holding onto the colored leaves from Fall. Some fog is rolling in to give the lake a mysterious feel.

Many of the trees were covered by moss. This tiny moss spore was hanging out of the tree bark. It closes at night and opens up during the day. So tiny and fragile.

A young pine tree in the woods on a rainy day. Look closely you can see the water drops on the needles. It is staying strong through the rain storms. The needles pointing up for any amount of sunlight to catch.

Spring Break!!

It is a Spring rainy day! Love the raindrops! They fill the trees and shrubs like ornaments. Fun to watch them grow so big and heavy that they drop to the ground.

It was fun to watch the Canadian Geese search for food in the pond today. The geese were very active. Funny how one was looking away, as if to say "enough already"!! They were a fun pair.
