Buffalo Bill Cody Dam & Reservoir Rainbow

Standing at the overlook at the visitor area of the dam was really breath taking. The water flowing over the dam showed its power.  The waterfall that crashes into the water below, created the mist that hovers over the dam area. On a sunny day you can see a beautiful rainbow on display between the mist and the dam buildings! A beautiful place to visit and to appreciate what water can do and does for us!

Yellowstone National Park Elk

The car is parked and I was ready to explore the Yellowstone National Park. Where it is easy to forget you are in the wild while being labeled as a tourist. Even with a large group of people around you exploring too, the reminder that you are in the wild is there! Trails, geysers, and wildlife surround you to point out that you are far from home. This Elk was spotted by the parking lot finding a tree soothing by rubbing an itch. People watching, admiring him, and taking photos at what people thought was a safe distance. Daunting to step out of a car from civilization and see an Elk with such antlers in wild. Such beauty and macho, if that is possible to be the same!!

Aquarium Jellyfish

It is peaceful to watch the jellyfish float around in an aquarium exhibit. Learning about aquatic nature is always fun. They are deadly, tentacles help them move around, and their bodies make an open/shut movement as they navigate the waters. Graceful aquatic creatures as they appear to be dancing.

Blue Dragonfly

A beautiful summer hike on a rocky Minnesota trail. The trail meanders around the woods. The rocks and climbs are challenging. Coming across a pond, a creek, and then a beautiful calm lake. Dragonflies are fluttering around making their presence known. One lands on a rock for a rest and a picture.

Enjoying a day at the park in the Spring. Noticed this daisy displaying it beauty on the out skirts of the forest.  Flower wide open to catch the rays of the sunlight. A bee flying in for some pollen, busy, and unaware of my presence.

Indiana Dunes State Park

Enjoying time at the Indiana Dunes State Park. Walking along the shores of Lake Michigan. Relaxing and watching the waves. Seagulls squalling and flying around. Butterflies fluttering around. Was able to capture this beauty while it took a rest on the sandy shoreline.

Gulf of Mexico Tan Crab

Another find on a stroll along the coast of Gulf of Mexico in Destin, FL. So tiny and blending in the sand; the crab was almost stepped on. Seaweed laying behind the crab which was left with the waves of the ocean. These creatures are so cool! Making it important that we take care of the Gulf of Mexico!

The coast of Destin, FL

On the hunt for sea creatures along the coast. Find this beautiful treasure on the stroll. Wondering the story of when and how it was deposited on the shore from the ocean. Admiring the color and the coils of the shell; along with the clear body. Just one of the amazing creatures of the Gulf of Mexico to cherish.

Gulf of Mexico Sunset in Destin, Florida

The coast of Destin, FL.

Walks along the coast. The sounds of the waves crashing upon the shore. Searching for washed up sea creatures. Relaxing and watching the pelicans fly by; while kids make sand castles. People watching, as they stroll from their coastline resorts onto the beach.  Reading a book in the sun for some quiet time. Then as the day comes to an end this gorgeous sunset appears to exhibit grace, hope, and rest.
